  • Coordinate the import process, ensuring compliance with Australian customs regulations.
  • Manage shipping documentation and ensure timely processing of import shipments.
  • Liaise with freight forwarders, suppliers, and internal teams to streamline logistics operations.
  • Monitor shipment schedules and address any delays or issues proactively.
  • Maintain accurate records of import transactions and related documentation.
  • Provide support in resolving any customs or freight discrepancies.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and transport industry standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics department.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Import Officer should have:

  • Knowledge of Australian customs regulations and import procedures.
  • At least 1 years experience in imports in the logistics or the transport and distribution industry.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling documentation.
  • Proficiency in using logistics or shipping software.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to managing challenges.
