Job Description

  • Coordinate import operations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and procedures.
  • Prepare and review shipping documents, including invoices and customs declarations.
  • Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and transport providers to ensure smooth delivery of goods.
  • Monitor shipment schedules and address any delays or discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of import transactions and provide regular reporting to management.
  • Communicate with clients to provide updates on shipment status and resolve any queries.
  • Assist in process improvements to enhance operational efficiency within the logistics department.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and industry standards at all times.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Import Operations Officer should have:

  • Previous experience in import operations or a related logistics role.
  • Strong knowledge of customs regulations and shipping documentation requirements.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
