We have an exciting temporary opportunity for a Management Accountant with the genuine possibility to become permanent. The role is responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, forecasting and business partnering support across a multi-site operation. This role combines month-end accounting responsibilities with commercial analysis, helping operational leaders make informed decisions that drive profitability and performance.

Job Description

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and cash flow analysis.
  • Deliver insightful financial and operational reporting, commentary and analysis to support decision-making.
  • Complete month-end activities including journals, accruals, reconciliations and trial balance reviews.
  • Conduct margin, cost of sales, revenue and profitability analysis.
  • Partner with operational stakeholders across multiple sites to explain financial results and identify performance improvement opportunities.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis processes.
  • Assist with capital expenditure analysis, business cases and investment evaluations.
  • Develop and enhance reporting tools, dashboards and financial models.
  • Monitor financial controls, data integrity and reporting accuracy.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives across finance systems and reporting processes.
  • Provide ad hoc commercial analysis and support to senior management.
  • Travel between multiple offices required.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Management Accountant should have:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
  • Ability to start immediately or within short notice.
  • 5+ years' experience in a Management Accountant or similar finance roles.
  • Willingness to travel between local operational sites as required.
  • Strong experience in management reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, month-end close and financial analysis.
  • Proven capability in budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Advanced Excel skills with exposure to financial systems such as Xero, MYOB or similar ERP platforms.
  • Experience developing reporting dashboards and financial models; Power BI exposure is highly regarded.
