We are seeking a Network Engineer with 3-4 years of hands-on networking experience to join a growing technology team. This fixed term contract role offers a mix of BAU operations and project delivery, including infrastructure refresh initiatives across a multi-site environment.You will be responsible for maintaining, supporting and improving enterprise network infrastructure while contributing to strategic network transformation projects.

About Our Client

Our client is an organisation within the not-for-profit sector based in Melbourne. They are going through massive network refresh project across 100+sites in Australia.

Job Description

  • Provide day-to-day support for network infrastructure across multiple sites.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents, service requests and performance issues.
  • Support and administer Cisco Meraki and Palo Alto network environments.
  • Manage LAN, WAN and internet connectivity services.
  • Deliver network refresh and upgrade projects.
  • Configure, monitor and maintain Azure networking components.
  • Support FTTP and FTTC/FTTN broadband connectivity solutions.
  • Work closely with infrastructure, cloud and security teams.
  • Maintain network documentation and technical standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance network performance and reliability.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Network Engineer should have:

  • 3-4 years' experience in a Network Engineer role, preferably working in a multi-site environment.
  • Strong experience with Cisco Meraki networking solutions, Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Azure networking services, including virtual networks, VPNs and connectivity.
  • Strong understanding of: LAN and WAN technologies, Routing and switching,Network security principles, SD-WAN concepts
  • Experience supporting multi-site environments.
  • Experience working with FTTP, FTTN, FTTC or similar telecommunications technologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
  • CCNA certification is mandatory
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
