Job Description

  • Conduct payroll compliance testing and transactional audits across payroll and time & attendance systems.
  • Investigate payroll discrepancies and perform root cause analysis.
  • Maintain and support payroll compliance and risk management frameworks.
  • Monitor changes to Australian payroll legislation, awards, enterprise agreements and superannuation obligations.
  • Support internal and external audits through reporting and documentation.
  • Analyse large payroll data sets to identify trends, anomalies and compliance risks.
  • Partner with Payroll, HR, Legal, Audit and IT stakeholders.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives and strengthen payroll controls.
  • Produce compliance reporting and insights for leadership teams.



The Successful Applicant

  • Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
  • Experience working within large, complex and high-volume payroll environments.
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret payroll data and identify risks.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Experience using payroll systems and advanced Excel skills
