Subiaco Temporary AU$40 - AU$50 per hour View Job Description
Short-term Payroll Officer contract supporting a fortnightly payroll for approximately 200-250 employees, with a mostly casual workforce. The role will focus on payroll processing, roster and timesheet approvals, discrepancy checking, employee queries and award interpretation.
  • 2-3 month temp role with potential to go permanent
  • Flexible 4-5 day week in central Subiaco location

Job Description

  • Process employee payroll with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant tax and superannuation regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date employee records and payroll systems.
  • Address payroll queries and provide clear solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure payroll data accuracy.
  • Prepare and distribute payslips and associated documents.
  • Assist with payroll reconciliations and audits as required.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in payroll data.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Payroll Officer should have:

  • Experience with payroll systems and software.
  • Knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Experience using Oracle/Netsuite (preferable)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Clear communication skills for liaising with employees and teams.
