Our client is a long-standing player in the chemical industry, servicing a range of clients with their products. They are a well-established family run business with a long-serving leadership team across multiple locations, both in Australia and overseas.

Job Description

  • Plan, organise, and oversee the daily production operations to meet output and quality targets.
  • Manage and coordinate the production team to ensure smooth workflow and high performance.
  • Implement and monitor safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Track and report on production metrics and performance against goals.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement necessary changes.
  • Coordinate with other departments such as maintenance and quality assurance to resolve operational issues.
  • Manage resources efficiently, including equipment, materials, and workforce.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Production Manager should have:

  • Proven experience in a production management role within the industrial or manufacturing sector.
  • Strong knowledge of production processes and operational management.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
