We are seeking a psychosocial expert to support psychosocial risk management, workplace health and safety, and employee wellbeing initiatives across Australia and New Zealand. Based in Sydney and sitting within the Human Resources function, this role will focus on Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) and psychosocial safety across a large retail workforce.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support psychosocial risk management initiatives across Australia and New Zealand.
  • Develop and implement WHS/OHS policies, procedures and programs in line with legislative requirements and industry best practice.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
  • Identify, assess and address psychosocial hazards in the workplace through practical risk mitigation strategies.
  • Support workers' compensation and injury management processes, including early intervention initiatives.
  • Provide WHS advice and oversee compliance activities across multiple sites.
  • Conduct incident investigations, identify root causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Deliver engaging health and safety training across boutiques, offices and service centres.
  • Collaborate with leaders and employees to promote a proactive culture of safety, wellbeing and continuous improvement.
  • Support security and safety requirements for company events, including risk assessments and planning activities.
  • Maintain accurate records relating to safety incidents, investigations, training, compliance activities and corrective actions.
  • Prepare reports, insights and updates for senior leadership on safety performance, wellbeing initiatives and emerging risks.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to drive safety and wellbeing programs that create healthier, safer and more supportive workplaces.



About the Opportunity:Working closely with key stakeholders across Australia and New Zealand, you will help drive safety and wellbeing programs, support compliance with workplace safety legislation, contribute to psychosocial risk assessments, and assist in creating safer and healthier workplaces.

This is a unique opportunity to gain exposure to a broad range of responsibilities spanning psychosocial risk management, workers' compensation, injury management, WHS compliance, policy development, training, incident management and employee wellbeing. You'll work alongside experienced safety leaders and play a key role in fostering a proactive and positive safety culture.Travel to sites and boutiques approximately once per month will be required.

We're seeking a proactive and collaborative professional who is passionate about creating safer, healthier and more supportive workplaces. You enjoy working with a variety of stakeholders, are comfortable balancing operational and strategic responsibilities, and have a genuine interest in promoting positive safety and wellbeing outcomes.To be successful, you will bring:

  • Minimum 1-2 years' experience in psychosocial safety, workplace wellbeing, WHS, OHS, injury management or a related field.
  • Exposure to psychosocial hazards, workplace mental health, psychological safety initiatives or employee wellbeing programs would be highly regarded.
  • Alternatively, a strong WHS/OHS foundation and a genuine desire to develop specialist knowledge in psychosocial risk management.
  • An understanding of Australian WHS legislation, risk management principles and workplace compliance requirements.
  • Experience supporting safety initiatives, conducting risk assessments, incident investigations or compliance activities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence positive safety behaviours.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail and reporting capability.
  • Confidence delivering training, facilitating conversations and supporting a positive workplace culture.
  • The ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
  • Willingness to travel to sites and boutiques across Australia and New Zealand approximately once per month.



Retail or multi-site experience is advantageous but not essential.This role would suit an emerging Safety Coordinator, WHS Advisor, Health & Safety Advisor, Wellbeing Advisor, Injury Management Coordinator, Return to Work Coordinator, or People & Culture professional with wellbeing exposure looking to take the next step in their career and gain valuable experience in psychosocial risk management.
