Job Description

  • Develop and review Protection & Control (P&C) designs for HV substation projects
  • Produce accurate schematics, wiring diagrams, and cable schedules
  • Design and integrate protection schemes including distance, differential, and overcurrent
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and to spec
  • Create detailed design drawings using AutoCAD or MicroStation
  • Perform technical assessments and recommend design improvements
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations
  • Provide technical support throughout design, testing, and delivery phases

The Successful Applicant

A successful Secondary Design Engineer will have:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Proven experience in HV substation secondary design and P&C systems
  • Strong understanding of protection schemes (distance, differential, overcurrent)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar design tools
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and high attention to detail
  • A strong commitment to delivering high-quality engineering outcomes
