As a Senior Accountant in Melbourne, you will manage core accounting activities within the pharmaceuticals space helping maintain clear and reliable financial information. You will apply sound accounting judgement across the Accounting & Finance function to support day-to-day business decisions.

Job Description

The Senior Accountant will report to the Financial Controller, contributing to the following:

    • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
    • Complete balance sheet reconciliations and maintain general ledger integrity.
    • Assist with statutory reporting, tax compliance and external audit requirements.
    • Support month-end and year-end close processes.
    • Drive process improvement and strengthen financial controls across the finance function.
    • Assist the FP&A Manager with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and ad hoc financial modelling to support business performance and strategic decision-making.
    • Partner with operational stakeholders to provide financial insight and reporting support.



The Successful Applicant

  • CA or CPA qualified
  • Big 4 or mid-tier professional services experience across Audit or Business Services is highly regarded.
  • Proven experience in a Senior Accountant, Financial Accountant or similar role within a commercial environment.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships across Finance and the broader business.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
