Job Description

As the Senior Lead Improvement Specialist, you will lead a structured diagnostic review of operational processes, applying proven continuous improvement methodologies to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks and opportunities for optimisation.Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading end-to-end diagnostic reviews of operational and service delivery functions.
  • Defining project scope, methodologies, stakeholder engagement plans and review frameworks.
  • Conducting process mapping, workflow analysis and root cause assessments.
  • Analysing quantitative and qualitative data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Facilitating workshops, interviews and stakeholder consultation sessions.
  • Developing practical recommendations and improvement roadmaps.
  • Preparing executive-level reports, presentations and business cases.
  • Managing risks, dependencies and governance requirements throughout the review.
  • Providing expert advice to senior leaders on operational efficiency and business improvement strategies.
  • Driving stakeholder alignment and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.



The Successful Applicant

To be successful, you will bring extensive experience leading business improvement, operational excellence or transformation initiatives within complex organisations.

You will have:

  • Demonstrated experience leading diagnostic reviews, operational improvement programs or business transformation initiatives.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification (or equivalent improvement methodology certification).
  • Strong expertise in process mapping, workflow analysis and root cause investigation.
  • Experience developing business cases, recommendations and implementation roadmaps.
  • Outstanding stakeholder engagement, facilitation and influencing skills.
  • The ability to translate complex findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience presenting findings and recommendations to executive stakeholders.
  • Previous experience within government, regulated industries, financial services, grants, claims, lending or other high-volume service environments will be highly regarded.
