Job Description

  • Provide legal advice on regulatory matters to support organisational compliance.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents and agreements.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Conduct legal research to support decision-making and organisational goals.
  • Advise on legislative and regulatory changes affecting the organisation.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with legal standards.
  • Represent the organisation in legal proceedings and regulatory matters, as required.
  • Provide training and guidance to internal teams on legal and compliance issues.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Solicitor should have:

  • A recognised qualification in law and admission to practise as a solicitor in Australia.
  • Proven expertise in regulatory and compliance matters within the public sector or similar industry.
  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Experience in drafting and negotiating legal documents.
  • Ability to provide clear and practical legal advice to diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in a regulatory environment is highly regarded.
