Job Description

Test Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead system, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing across Agile and hybrid environments
  • Define and execute risk-based testing strategies
  • Manage day-to-day test planning, scheduling, and execution
  • Produce key artefacts (test plans, cases, reports, traceability matrices)
  • Provide test status reporting, quality insights, and release recommendations
  • Mentor and support testers within the team



UAT Coordination

  • Plan and oversee end-to-end UAT activities
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define scope, criteria, and success measures
  • Ensure UAT readiness (environments, access, data, integrations)
  • Support SMEs during execution with guidance and frameworks



Quality Engineering & Tooling

  • Apply modern practices (shift-left/right, CI/CD testing, quality gates)
  • Support test automation where applicable
  • Perform exploratory testing, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement
  • Work within cloud-native and DevOps environments



Defect & Risk Management

  • Oversee defect lifecycle (logging, triage, resolution, validation)
  • Identify and communicate risks proactively
  • Provide clear reporting on coverage, quality metrics, and impacts
  • Support evidence-based go-live decisions



Governance & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Deliver clear reporting on testing and UAT outcomes
  • Ensure artefacts meet audit and compliance standards
  • Engage stakeholders with clear communication and insights
  • Promote a quality-first mindset



The Successful Applicant

A successful Test Lead should have:Essential

  • Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • ISTQB Foundation (CTFL) or equivalent
  • Strong experience across functional, integration, and regression testing
  • Proven experience coordinating UAT in complex environments
  • Expertise in test management tools and delivery frameworks
  • Strong communication skills across technical and business stakeholders



Desirable

  • Advanced ISTQB certifications (CTAL, CTTAE, AI Testing etc.)
  • Experience in Agile / SAFe delivery environments
  • Exposure to automation and data validation techniques
  • Public sector or large multi-vendor program experience
  • Understanding of release and operational readiness processes
