We are seeking a qualified Accountant to join the fast-paced finance team in Tullamarine on a 4-month contract, supporting financial reporting, month-end activities, and day-to-day finance operations. This role offers hands-on exposure to a dynamic retail environment and the opportunity to add value across a complex multi-entity, multi-currency business.

This retail organisation is one of Australia's most recognised brands, with a strong presence across Australia and New Zealand. Based in Tullamarine, the business continues to evolve and requires an experienced Accountant to provide immediate support during a key period for the finance team.

Job Description

  • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain financial integrity
  • Assist with statutory compliance and audit requirements
  • Manage accounting activities across multiple entities
  • Process and reconcile foreign currency transactions
  • Maintain and utilise MYOB for financial reporting and transactional processing
  • Assist with cash flow monitoring and forecasting
  • Support process improvement initiatives and finance projects as required
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial information

The Successful Applicant

  • CA or CPA qualified (essential) and experience as a Financial Accountant
  • Strong MYOB experience (essential)
  • Proven experience working in a multi-entity environment
  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-currency transactions and reporting
  • Strong reconciliation, reporting, and month-end accounting skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Retail, wholesale, or consumer products experience will be highly regarded
  • Available to start immediately
