Reporting to the Head of Finance, this Accounts Payable Officer role is responsible for end-to-end accounts payable processing, payment preparation, and supplier query resolution. The successful candidate will also support broader finance operations, working closely with both local and overseas stakeholders.

About Our Client

Our client is a well-established organisation seeking an experienced Accounts Payable professional to support the finance function during a short-term assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who can quickly adapt to existing processes and contribute from day one.

Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Finance, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing end-to-end Accounts Payable activities.
  • Liaising with overseas teams regarding invoice processing and supplier queries.
  • Preparing and processing banking payments, including ad hoc payments.
  • Monitoring and managing the shared finance mailbox and following up outstanding actions.
  • Releasing customer accounts on hold within the ERP system where required.
  • Uploading invoices to customer portals.
  • Sending invoice copies directly to customers and stores when required.
  • Providing general support to the Finance team and assisting with ad hoc finance-related tasks.

The Successful Applicant

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Previous Accounts Payable experience.
  • Experience processing payments and performing account reconciliations.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience managing shared mailboxes and prioritising workload effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience using ERP/accounting systems and Excel.
  • Exposure to Accounts Receivable or customer finance processes will be advantageous.
  • The ability to work independently and quickly learn established processes.
