About Our Client

Our client is a well-established Australian organisation based in Melbourne's south-eastern suburbs. They are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to support their finance team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment on a temporary basis.

Job Description

The successful Accounts Receivable Officer will be responsible for:

  • Processing and reconciling high-volume accounts receivable transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Monitoring outstanding invoices and proactively following up on overdue payments.
  • Investigating and resolving billing discrepancies and customer account queries.
  • Maintaining accurate customer account records and ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Supporting month-end activities, including reconciliations and reporting.
  • Preparing and distributing regular aged debt and AR performance reports.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure timely payment resolution.
  • Providing administrative support to the wider finance team as required.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Accounts Receivable Officer will have:

  • Previous experience in an Accounts Receivable role within a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes and general accounting principles.
  • Experience using SAP or a similar large ERP system, with intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to work autonomously while meeting deadlines in a busy team environment.
  • Immediate availability or the ability to commence at short notice
