An opportunity for an Estimator to lead tendering and pricing activities across ASP1, ASP2, civil and public lighting projects. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will play a key role in securing profitable work and supporting project delivery.

Our client is a growing civil and utilities contractor delivering electrical infrastructure, utility construction and civil works throughout Sydney and surrounding regions. They have a strong focus on quality, safety and continuous improvement, supported by ISO-certified management systems and established utility accreditations.

Job Description

  • Prepare detailed estimates and tender submissions for ASP1, ASP2, civil and public lighting projects.
  • Analyse drawings, specifications and project scopes to develop accurate pricing.
  • Assess labour, plant, equipment, subcontractor and material costs.
  • Develop competitive and profitable bids aligned with project requirements.
  • Engage with project managers, engineers and subcontractors during tender phases.
  • Conduct site visits to identify risks and validate estimating assumptions.
  • Support procurement activities and project handovers for awarded work.
  • Maintain tender systems, records and reporting within the business management framework.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Estimator should have:

  • Experience as an Estimator within ASP1, ASP2 and civil infrastructure sectors.
  • Strong understanding of ASP3 electrical designs and utility standards.
  • Minimum two years' experience within the electricity supply industry.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and competency with project software.
  • Strong analytical and commercial acumen.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Values-driven professional who is positive, approachable and dependable.
