About Our Client

My client are a global 3PL & Freight Forwarder investing and expanding across Australia. They are a privately owned logistics and supply chain provider offering freight forwarding, 3PL warehousing, transport, e-commerce fulfilment and customs-related services across Australia and international markets.

Job Description

  • Generate new business opportunities within the Transport & Distribution industry.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve targets.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to potential clients.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals to support revenue growth.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client satisfaction and service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and performance metrics.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Business Development Manager should have:

  • Proven experience in sales or business development, preferably in 3PL or Freight Forwarding.
  • A strong understanding of the industry and its key drivers.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and drive results with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and sales tools.
  • A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel as required.

What's on Offer

  • Base salary between $120,000 and $130,000 AUD.
  • $20,000 car allowance.
  • Superannuation included.
  • 5% commission on GP.
