Job Description

  • Prepare and manage tribunal applications and responses.
  • Draft submissions, witness statements and supporting documentation.
  • Represent the organisation in tribunal proceedings and conciliations where appropriate.
  • Manage multiple active matters simultaneously from commencement through to resolution.
  • Liaise with customers, regulators, external legal providers and internal stakeholders.
  • Investigate complaints, disputes and warranty-related matters.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Legal and Compliance General Manager should have:

  • A degree in Law or a related field.
  • Proven experience in legal and compliance roles within the retail industry.
  • Has experience in corporate or commercial law.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian laws and regulations.
  • Permanent residency
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to provide strategic legal advice in a busy environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in managing contracts and legal documentation.
