We are seeking an experienced Commercial Credit Analyst to join a high-performing Credit & Risk team within a leading financial services organisation.

Job Description

As a Commercial Credit Analyst, you will:

  • Analyse, structure and underwrite commercial credit applications within delegated authority
  • Manage relationships with business partners, dealers and commercial customers
  • Assess financial performance and creditworthiness, establishing appropriate credit limits and risk controls
  • Monitor portfolio performance and proactively manage emerging credit risks
  • Prepare high-quality credit submissions and risk assessments for approvals outside delegated authority
  • Negotiate and prepare credit documentation in line with internal policies and legal requirements
  • Support business growth through thoughtful and commercially balanced credit decisions
  • Identify and contribute to process improvement initiatives, including automation and digital solutions
  • Provide guidance, coaching and support to junior team members
  • Produce portfolio reporting, insights and risk trend analysis for stakeholders

The Successful Applicant

You're an experienced credit professional with strong commercial judgement and the ability to assess complex lending opportunities beyond automated decision tools.

  • Experience in commercial credit, financial analysis or risk assessment
  • Proven manual underwriting and credit assessment capability
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and financial analysis skills
  • Sound understanding of credit risk, cash flow and financial statements
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage priorities, work independently and make balanced risk decisions
  • Professional, adaptable and committed to continuous improvement and learning
