This is a newly created Document Controller opportunity supporting a global Exploration division. Responsible responsible for establishing, implementing and maintaining a robust document control framework across the exploration asset.

Michael Page is partnering with a global organisation with it's head office in Perth, the exploration function operates as a collaborative and technically focused team responsible for identifying and advancing future growth opportunities.

Job Description

  • Establish and maintain a fit-for-purpose document control framework for the Exploration division.
  • Develop document control processes, workflows, standards, templates and governance systems.
  • Manage document registers, numbering conventions, version control and approval workflows.
  • Coordinate document reviews, approvals, publishing, distribution and archiving activities.
  • Ensure controlled documents remain current, compliant and easily accessible.
  • Monitor document review cycles and proactively follow up overdue documentation.
  • Maintain traceability and governance records for all controlled documentation.
  • Work closely with technical and operational stakeholders to document business processes and operational requirements.
  • Drive consistency and quality across procedures, work instructions, forms and management plans.
  • Deliver training and guidance to internal stakeholders on document control principles and compliance requirements.
  • Identify gaps in existing document management practices and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Act as the central point of contact for document governance within the Exploration function.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will act as the subject matter expert for document governance, ensuring policies, procedures, management plans, work instructions and other controlled documents are developed, reviewed, approved, published and maintained in accordance with governance requirements.

  • Proven experience building or enhancing document control functions.
  • Strong understanding of document governance and controlled document frameworks.
  • Ability to hit the ground running in a standalone specialist role.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working autonomously.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to confidently challenge existing practices and recommend better solutions.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality documentation standards.
