Job Description

  • Manage and maintain records and documentation in compliance with organisational policies and legislative requirements.
  • Ensure information is accurately stored, accessible, and up to date across all relevant systems.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support information governance initiatives and identify process improvements.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on best practices for records and information management.
  • Respond to internal and external information requests promptly and professionally.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of information management policies and procedures.
  • Monitor compliance with records management standards and report any discrepancies.
  • Support audits and reviews related to information management processes.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Information Specialist should have:

  • Relevant qualifications in records management, information management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing records and information systems within the public sector or similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to provide clear advice to a broad range of stakeholders
  • Experience developing policies, procedures and governance documentation.
  • Proficiency in using records management software and tools.
  • Current Police Clearance, or ability to obtain one.
