Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain observability solutions to monitor system performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify monitoring requirements and implement solutions.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, alerts, and visualisations for system health and performance metrics.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve performance bottlenecks and system issues.
  • Optimise monitoring tools and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and provide recommendations for system improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in observability and monitoring.
  • Document processes and provide training to relevant stakeholders as needed.

The Successful Applicant

A successful candidate should have:

  • Proven experience in designing and implementing observability and monitoring solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of monitoring tools and technologies such as Prometheus, Grafana, or similar.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and containerisation technologies.
  • Ability to analyse complex systems and identify performance optimisation opportunities.
  • Knowledge of scripting and automation tools to streamline monitoring processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
