Job Description

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimise cost out and efficiency.
  • Support managing supplier relationships and negotiate contracts if required to ensure favourable terms.
  • Monitor supply chain performance and resolve any procurement-related issues.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify procurement needs and align with business goals.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and industry regulations.
  • Prepare and present procurement reports to management for informed decision-making.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement and supply chain department.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Procurement Specialist should have:

  • Relevant experience in procurement and supply chain management within the consumer industry.
  • A strong understanding of sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to conduct market research and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A keen eye for detail and an ability to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in procurement, supply chain, or a related field.
