As the Project Manager for the HR & Payroll Stream, you will provide leadership across all phases of the project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through to implementation, transition and closure.You will be accountable for delivering a modern, integrated HR and Payroll solution while ensuring compliance with payroll, taxation, superannuation, industrial relations and award obligations.

Job Description

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of the HR & Payroll workstream, including SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central (EC), Employee Central Payroll (ECP), and associated time, attendance and rostering solutions.
  • Manage all phases of delivery including discovery, design, configuration, build, testing, data migration, payroll parallel runs, cutover and deployment.
  • Drive project governance activities and actively participate in program risk, issue, schedule and steering committee meetings.
  • Manage functional and technical delivery teams across HR and Payroll streams.
  • Ensure project outcomes are delivered in line with agreed scope, budget, schedule, quality and benefits realisation objectives.
  • Monitor and control project activities in accordance with approved project management methodologies, governance frameworks and compliance requirements.
  • Provide regular reporting to executive stakeholders, steering committees, PMO and project teams, highlighting progress, risks, issues and mitigation strategies.
  • Partner with vendors, system integrators, SAP and other key stakeholders to ensure successful delivery outcomes.
  • Lead project closure activities, including operational handover, support transition, asset transfer and financial close-out.

The Successful Applicant

  • Proven hands-on delivery experience implementing SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central (EC) and Employee Central Payroll (ECP) across the full project lifecycle.
  • Extensive project management experience delivering large, complex technology and business transformation programs.
  • Significant experience implementing time and attendance and rostering solutions within HR and Payroll environments.
  • Demonstrated success managing data migration, testing, payroll parallel runs, integration and deployment activities.
  • Strong understanding of payroll, taxation, superannuation, industrial awards and compliance obligations.
  • Experience managing delivery through both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence at executive and operational levels.
  • Proven experience managing strategic delivery partners, vendors and system integrators.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Project and Jira.
