Job Description

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth, profitability, and achievement of business objectives.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor the Sales, Account Management, and Sales Support teams to maximise individual and team performance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, and industry partners to support long term business growth.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities through market analysis, strategic prospecting, and customer engagement initiatives.
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, competitor activity, and pricing strategies to maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Manage sales budgets, pricing, margins, forecasting, and performance reporting to deliver sustainable commercial outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with operations, purchasing, and leadership teams to ensure exceptional customer service and seamless execution of sales initiatives.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across the sales function, driving process enhancements, change management, and operational efficiency.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Sales Manager should have:

  • Extensive sales leadership experience with the ability to build, develop, and motivate high performing teams
  • A proven track record of driving sales growth, winning new business, and delivering strong revenue and margin outcomes within the FMCG Industry
  • A passion for embracing growth opportunities and leading ambitious sales team strategies that deliver measurable results.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and optimising structured sales processes to improve performance and accountability.
  • Strong relationship building skills with the ability to influence, engage, and develop long term partnerships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Excellent commercial acumen, including experience in pricing, margin management, forecasting, budgeting, and sales analysis.
  • Outstanding communication, coaching, and mentoring capabilities, with a collaborative "we before I" leadership style.
