Our client is a leading Australian utility infrastructure contractor delivering transmission, distribution, communications and renewable energy projects. With a strong pipeline of transmission work, they play a key role in supporting Australia's energy transition.

Job Description

  • Lead estimating and tender submissions for overhead transmission line projects
  • Prepare cost estimates, pricing strategies and commercial submissions
  • Review drawings, specifications, geotechnical reports and contract documentation
  • Develop methodologies, quantity take-offs and productivity calculations
  • Assess risks, opportunities and value engineering initiatives
  • Source and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations
  • Present tender recommendations to senior management
  • Maintain estimating databases and benchmark cost information

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Transmission Line Estimator should have:

  • Proven experience as a Senior or Lead Estimator within utilities or infrastructure
  • Strong transmission line estimating experience across high-voltage projects
  • Knowledge of foundations, structures, conductor stringing and commissioning
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and contract documentation
  • Experience with EPC, D&C and construct-only delivery models
  • Strong commercial, analytical and stakeholder management skills
  • Engineering, Construction Management or related qualifications highly regarded
