This position partners closely with technology, operational and engineering stakeholders, providing commercial and financial insights to support strategic decision-making, project performance, and business growth.

Job Description

The Finance Business Partner will be responsible for:

  • Partner with Operations and Engineering leaders to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making and business performance.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes across designated business units.
  • Deliver meaningful financial analysis and reporting, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Provide commercial support on projects, ensuring financial performance aligns with operational objectives.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs to drive accountability and improve business outcomes.
  • Influence stakeholder decision-making through robust financial modelling, business cases, and scenario analysis.
  • Support month-end and quarterly performance reviews, providing commentary and actionable recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, governance frameworks, and reporting requirements.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to optimise processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Act as a trusted finance business partner, bridging the gap between finance, operations, and engineering teams to support growth and profitability.



The Successful Applicant

  • Worked with a services or consultancy firm (engineering, tech consultancy, IT services etc.)
  • A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Professional qualifications (e.g., CPA, CA) are highly regarded.
  • Experience working as a true business partner
  • Experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and tools.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
