Job Description

  • Prepare and review financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Manage and reconcile accounts, including general ledger and balance sheet accounts.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities to aid strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient financial operations.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and support.
  • Identify process improvements and implement best practices in financial management.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Financial Accountant should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g. CPA or CA).
  • Proven experience in financial accounting within the insurance or related industry.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Workday is desirable, but not essential
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
