Job Description

You'll take ownership of a broad portfolio of financial accounting responsibilities, combining technical accounting, statutory reporting, taxation, compliance and business partnering. You'll also play an important role in finance transformation initiatives as the business continues to invest in improving systems and processes.

  • Lead the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Prepare statutory and management reporting, including consolidated financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and external audit coordination.
  • Manage cash flow, treasury activities and key financial accounting processes.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian taxation, statutory and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Oversee core financial operations, including general ledger integrity, working capital and selected accounting functions.
  • Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, systems and internal controls, identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and automation.
  • Support finance transformation initiatives, ERP enhancements and other business improvement projects.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and collaborate with external auditors, advisors and regulatory bodies to support the ongoing success of the finance function.



The Successful Applicant

You're someone who enjoys solving problems, improving processes and taking ownership of your work. You have strong technical accounting skills, love working in a collaborative environment and thrive in businesses that are evolving and growing.

You'll also bring:

  • CPA or CA qualification (or near)
  • At least 5 years' experience in financial accounting or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and taxation legislation.
  • Experience preparing statutory financial statements and consolidated reporting.
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Medium- advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical capability.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with a genuine sense of accountability.
