This role leads end‑to‑end property accounting and financial reporting across a diversified property portfolio, including jointly held assets. You will play a critical role in ensuring financial integrity, statutory compliance, and high‑quality insights to support strategic decision‑making.

About Our Client

Our client is a privately owned property investment and development group with a long‑term ownership mindset and a diversified portfolio spanning commercial, retail, industrial, hospitality, and land assets across Australia and selected international markets. The organisation is known for hands‑on leadership, flat structures, and involvement in city‑shaping projects.

Job Description

  • Prepare and manage financial reports for assigned property portfolios
  • Coordinate month‑end close, including accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Partner with property and leasing teams on budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and performance analysis
  • Prepare annual financial statements and coordinate audits and year‑end reporting
  • Oversee outgoings estimates and annual reconciliations
  • Ensure accurate tenant receivables, incentives, and recoveries
  • Act as systems super user for property and accounting platforms, driving enhancements and best practice
  • Identify and implement process improvements in a growing, evolving environment
  • Liaise with external advisors on tax, compliance, and statutory matters

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree‑qualified and CA or CPA qualified
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in property accounting or relevant professional services background
  • Strong experience with property accounting systems (MRI experience essential)
  • Advanced Excel capability and strong attention to detail
  • Confident communicator able to engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • Hands‑on, autonomous, and comfortable operating in a fast‑moving, less structured environment
  • High integrity, strong work ethic, and a collaborative mindset
