This organisation operates in the Transport & Distribution industry and is based in Thomastown.

Job Description

  • Oversee and manage daily warehouse operations to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Coordinate the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards within the warehouse.
  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate stock records.
  • Lead, train, and supervise warehouse staff to achieve operational goals.
  • Implement and maintain warehouse processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with logistics teams to improve distribution workflows.
  • Handle any operational issues and resolve them promptly.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Warehouse Supervisor / Manager should have:

  • Proven experience in warehouse management, logistics, freight forwarding or import operations.
  • Strong organisational, people leadership and team management skills, with a hands on approach to driving operational performance.
  • Experience managing bonded warehouse (77G) operations and ensuring compliance with customs and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong understanding of DAFF and ABF regulations, with the ability to liaise directly with government authorities and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems, warehouse processes and CargoWise software.
  • Sound understanding of warehouse safety, compliance and operational best practice.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and continuous improvement capabilities.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with customs brokers, freight forwarders, transport providers and customers.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced import and distribution environment while maintaining high service levels and compliance standards.
