Job Description

  • Analyse and reconcile approximately six years of historical payroll and timekeeping data.
  • Review hours worked against overtime payments and calculate any discrepancies.
  • Perform employee-level backpay calculations using established payroll rules and methodologies.
  • Investigate missing, duplicate, incomplete, or inconsistent payroll data.
  • Reconcile calculations back to payroll records and maintain a clear audit trail.
  • Prepare detailed employee schedules and summary reports for payroll review and processing.
  • Deliver clear working papers and documentation to support Payroll, HR, and Finance review processes

The Successful Applicant

  • Strong Australian payroll experience.
  • Previous exposure to payroll remediation, reconciliations, backpay projects, or payroll audits.
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience reconciling payroll against time and attendance records.
  • Strong understanding of payroll calculations, overtime, and allowances.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • The ability to work independently and investigate data anomalies.
