As an Associate Director - Mechanical, you will lead the delivery and growth of a major data centre portfolio across Australia and APAC, driving technical excellence, project performance and client success. You will mentor high-performing engineering teams, oversee complex mechanical designs and play a key role in business development, stakeholder engagement and strategic growth initiatives.

Job Description

  • Lead and mentor multidisciplinary engineering teams delivering complex data centre projects.
  • Oversee mechanical and HVAC design development, technical reviews and quality assurance.
  • Drive project delivery, programme performance, risk management and commercial outcomes.
  • Coordinate mechanical services with electrical, fire protection and public health disciplines.
  • Monitor project financial performance, invoicing and change management processes.
  • Act as a senior client interface across key stakeholder and technical meetings.
  • Support regional business development, proposals and client relationship management.
  • Promote continuous improvement, innovation and engineering excellence across project teams.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Associate Director - Mechanical should have:

  • Degree qualified Mechanical Engineer.
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) is essential.
  • Proven data centre design and delivery experience is essential.
  • Extensive experience leading mechanical engineering teams on complex projects.
  • Strong expertise in HVAC systems and multidisciplinary building services design.
  • Commercially astute with experience managing budgets, schedules and project risk.
  • Strong client-facing skills with experience developing business and stakeholder relationships
