Job Description

You will be responsible for:

  • Advising clients on complex legal, commercial and regulatory matters.
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating legal documents.
  • Managing matters with appropriate partner support.
  • Conducting legal research and preparing commercially focused advice.
  • Building strong client relationships.
  • Working collaboratively across teams and practice groups.
  • Supporting junior lawyers and contributing to team development.
  • Assisting with business development, client engagement and thought leadership.



The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have:

  • 3+ years' post-admission experience, ideally from a leading law firm or in-house legal team.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: Defence & Security, Energy & Natural Resources, Financial Services, Technology, Science & Industry or Employment.
  • Strong drafting, advisory and analytical skills.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to provide practical legal advice.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A collaborative and client-focused approach.
  • Australian practising certificate, or eligibility to obtain one.
