With significant investment in long-life assets and a strong focus on creating lasting value for regional communities, they are the first Australian operation of its kind with one of the worlds most significant long term projects within their commodity.Job DescriptionThe Contracts Lead will play a critical role in further developing the Site Services contract portfolio including the engagement of additional Indigenous business partners. Some of the responsibilities will include;Lead the development, negotiation and administration of complex site service contracts.Manage contract performance, compliance, risk, variations and claims.Build strong relationships with operational leaders and key suppliers.Support procurement strategies that maximise value while aligning with Indigenous procurement objectives.Partner with Indigenous-owned businesses and joint ventures to develop long-term, sustainable commercial relationships.Identify opportunities to improve supplier performance, contract governance and commercial outcomes.Provide guidance and mentoring to contracts and procurement team members.Support dispute resolution and negotiation activities where required.Develop and implement best-practice contract management frameworks and processes.The Successful ApplicantYou will be an experienced contracts leader across commercial and procurement ideally within a resources environment. You will bring;A track record of success managing high value contracts, commercial negotiations and developing supplier relationshipsDeep knowledge of contract law, procurement methodology and commercial risk managementExperience overseeing a range of site and or services contractsStrong analytical, financial and contract reporting skillsDemonstrated ability to influence, negotiate and communicate with site based stakeholders and community groupsExperience with developing Indigenous procurement and contract engagementThe role will require some regional WA travel, approximately once a monthWhat's on OfferThe role will provide an opportunity to be part of a growing mining business with an Australian first operation.
