Job Description

  • Deliver HV primary substation detail designs (132 kV - 500 kV) in compliance with Australian standards.
  • Develop and review single-line diagrams (SLDs) and substation layouts.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project alignment and efficiency.
  • Provide technical expertise in both AIS and GIS systems.
  • Engage with clients to understand their requirements and provide tailored solutions.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet quality and safety standards.
  • Support project planning and provide input on technical aspects during the proposal stage.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers within the team.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Lead Primary Engineer should have:

  • Proficiency in HV primary substation design, including AIS and GIS systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian standards relevant to the Energy sector.
  • Experience developing layouts, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and other design documentation.
  • Excellent coordination skills for working with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Effective communication skills for client engagement and relationship management.
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
