This is a fantastic opportunity for a Management Accountant to join a thriving business in the industrial and manufacturing sector. You will play a critical role in cost accounting, inventory and stock management as well as budgeting, forecasting, reporting directly to a Financial Controller.
  • South-East Location (Manufacturing)
  • $90,000-120,000 + superannuation

Job Description

The Management Accountant will be responsible for:

  • Analyse and manage product costing to ensure accurate financial data.
  • Prepare and present detailed cost reports to support business strategies.
  • Collaborate with production and operations teams to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Monitor and evaluate inventory costing for accuracy and compliance.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes, particularly in relation to costings.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards and internal controls.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.

The Successful Applicant

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in cost accounting within the industrial or manufacturing sector.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
  • A solid understanding of inventory management and cost control processes.
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines effectively.
  • CPA or CA qualification (or working towards) is highly regarded.
