Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, delivering meaningful analysis, and providing financial support to the wider business. You will work closely with operations and leadership teams to drive performance and support strategic decision-making.

About Our Client

Our client is a well-established and growing organisation operating within a critical infrastructure and services environment. With operations across multiple locations, they are seeking a commercially minded Management Accountant to join their finance team and play a key role in supporting both financial performance and operational decision-making.

Job Description

  • Prepare and maintain accurate P&L and balance sheet reporting.
  • Conduct financial analysis and monitor key business KPIs.
  • Assist with month-end reporting and reconciliations.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Partner with operational stakeholders on financial performance.
  • Act as a key point of contact for finance-related queries.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting.

The Successful Applicant

You are a proactive and commercially aware accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and building strong stakeholder relationships.

Skills & Experience

 

  • Previous experience in a Management Accountant or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong systems capability.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Experience working across multiple cost centres or business units will be highly regarded.
  • ERP system experience, ideally including large enterprise systems.
