Job Description

  • Oversee end-to-end payroll operations across multiple entities and states, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Develop and execute a payroll roadmap aligned to systems, compliance and business needs
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, controls and employee experience
  • Ensure full compliance with legislative obligations including payroll tax, superannuation and STP reporting
  • Lead payroll-related projects, system enhancements and implementations
  • Manage audits, reconciliations and reporting, maintaining strong governance frameworks
  • Collaborate closely with Finance, HR and external vendors to deliver seamless outcomes
  • Lead, guide and uplift capability within the payroll function
  • Establish robust processes, controls and documentation to support a future-state operating model



The Successful Applicant

  • Strong experience in end-to-end payroll across multi-state environments
  • Proven capability in systems, process improvement and project delivery
  • Solid knowledge of payroll compliance, legislation and audit requirements
  • Experience with SAP payroll highly regarded
  • Advanced analytical skills and attention to detail
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the confidence to challenge and improve existing processes
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
