Renowned for delivering premium customer experiences, they have a strong people-first culture and are entering a busy seasonal hiring period, creating an opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to provide critical support to their payroll function.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing of fortnightly Australian payroll while partnering with outsourced provider.
  • Prepare, validate and submit payroll data to the external payroll provider.
  • Support seasonal workforce onboarding and payroll changes.
  • Process new starters, terminations, salary adjustments and employment changes.
  • Ensure payroll compliance with Australian legislation and company policies.
  • Review timesheet and attendance data using payroll systems.
  • Manage payroll queries from employees and stakeholders.
  • Reconcile payroll data and investigate discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and reporting.
  • Work closely with HR, Store Managers and payroll stakeholders across multiple locations.



Systems

  • Kronos exposure beneficial but not essential.
  • Strong Excel skills highly advantageous.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will be a confident payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and enjoys building strong relationships across the business.

You will bring:

  • Previous experience processing Australian payroll end-to-end.
  • Experience within retail, hospitality or other multi-site environments.
  • Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Experience working with outsourced payroll providers.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A collaborative, approachable and easy-going personality.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work autonomously and meet strict payroll deadlines.
  • Experience supporting workforces of 500+ employees highly regarded.

What's on Offer

  • $85,000 - $88,000 + Super (Pro Rata)
  • Part-time schedule: Monday to Wednesday
  • 6-month temporary contract (October to March)
  • 3 days per week onsite
  • Modern Kent Street office location
