This temporary Safety Advisor role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to workplace safety within the services industry. Based in Frankston, you will play a key part in ensuring compliance with safety standards and fostering a culture of safety.

Our client is a well-established organisation within the public sector. They are a medium-sized company with a strong focus on maintaining high safety standards and ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.

Job Description

  • Lead and deliver health and safety strategy initiatives, embedding a strong, proactive safety culture across the organisation
  • Conduct inspections, audits and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure effective control measures are in place
  • Develop and maintain safety systems, policies and procedures aligned to legislative and best practice standards
  • Partner with operational teams and contractors to drive compliance, improve safety performance and support safe delivery of works
  • Investigate incidents and near misses, determine root causes and implement corrective and preventative actions
  • Analyse safety data and trends to identify risks, track performance and inform continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide coaching, training and guidance to build capability and accountability for safety at all levels
  • Support injury management and return to work processes, ensuring safe, timely and sustainable outcomes
  • Maintain accurate safety documentation, reporting and compliance records while supporting audits and assurance activities

The Successful Applicant

A successful Safety Advisor should have:

  • A relevant qualification in Workplace Health and Safety or a related field.
  • Experience in safety advisory roles within the industrial/manufacturing sector.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian safety regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse teams.
  • Problem-solving skills to address safety challenges effectively.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying risks.
