This role of a Sales/ BD Executive will be responsible for winning, retaining, and growing multi-industry customers by planning and managing relationships with the air freight business for the organisation.

About Our Client

The client is a major global market leader in the freight forwarding space across international air, ocean and overland freight transport.

Job Description

  • To identify and contact prospective customers, seeking opportunities for increased and profitable sales on new and existing accounts, assessing needs to match with own products/ service/ alternative products/ services, recommending solutions, gaining the trust of the customer to close the sale.
  • To work with all key stakeholders to support and ensure the successful implementation of new business and onboarding of new customers in order to ensure proper operational handover.
  • To build internal networks and relationships to support business development and customer retention.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Sales/ BD Executive should have:

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably within the freight forwarding space
  • preferably has managed Airfreight Sales. Ocean freight might also be considered
  • has proven relationships in the market across critical market stakeholders
  • has had a experience in new business development while managing some key account relationships as well
