Senior BI & Data Engineering Consultant

This role is responsible for delivering enterprise BI, data engineering and reporting solutions that support critical business decision-making. You will work across Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory and Power BI to build scalable data platforms, models and dashboards.

Job Description

* Design and develop scalable data pipelines using Databricks and Azure Data Factory

* Build and optimise ETL/ELT processes for enterprise reporting needs

* Integrate data from multiple business systems into centralised platforms

* Develop dimensional, semantic and data warehouse models

* Create and enhance Power BI dashboards, reports and analytics solutions

* Facilitate stakeholder workshops to gather reporting requirements

* Produce technical documentation, data mappings and solution designs

* Ensure compliance with governance, security and enterprise standards

The Successful Applicant

* Strong experience delivering enterprise BI and analytics solutions

* Hands-on expertise with Databricks and Microsoft Fabric

* Advanced Power BI development and optimisation skills

* Experience building Azure Data Factory data pipelines

* Strong SQL development and performance tuning capability

* Knowledge of dimensional modelling and data warehousing concepts

* Experience working with large, complex datasets

* Strong stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering skills
