Our client is a rapidly growing player in the Gold sector with strong assets and a solid growth strategy. Due to this growth, they have an urgent requirement for an experienced Environment and Approvals specialist to join their team.

Job Description

  • Oversee the preparation, submission, and management of environmental approvals and permits.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to implement sustainable practices and minimise environmental impact.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies and key stakeholders.
  • Provide expert advice on environmental and approvals matters to internal and external parties.
  • Conduct environmental risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and report on environmental performance and compliance metrics.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Environmental & Approvals Advisor should have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in environmental science, environmental engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in environmental approvals and compliance within the energy and natural resources industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian environmental legislation and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic and operational responsibilities effectively.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
