About Our Client

We are partnering with a well-known Leisure/Sports organisation to appoint a Senior Finance Business Partner. This is a highly visible role where you will work closely with CEOs, Boards, and senior stakeholders, providing meaningful financial insights that help shape strategic decisions and deliver strong organisational outcomes.You'll combine technical financial expertise with genuine business partnering to support budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and long-term planning activities.

Job Description

  • Partnering with CEOs, leadership teams, and Boards to provide commercial and financial advice.
  • Leading annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
  • Delivering monthly management and Board reporting, including insightful variance analysis and commentary.
  • Analysing financial performance and identifying risks, trends, and opportunities to improve outcomes.
  • Supporting month-end processes, balance sheet reconciliations, and maintaining general ledger integrity.
  • Preparing statutory financial statements and coordinating external audit requirements.
  • Contributing to finance transformation initiatives and continuous process improvement projects.
  • Building strong relationships across finance and operational teams to support organisational objectives.

The Successful Applicant

  • CA or CPA qualification.
  • Degree qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in Finance Business Partnering, FP&A, Management Accounting, or a similar commercial finance role in large complex/commercial organisations.
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis capabilities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and challenge senior leaders constructively.
  • Solid understanding of financial reporting, accounting principles, and month-end processes.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and supporting process improvement initiatives.
  • The ability to balance multiple priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
