The Senior Financial Accountant role within manufacturing in Cranbourne involves managing financial reporting and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. With an immediate start, this role will focus on producing financial statements, complex reconciliations, management of the fixed asset register. The role will have an opportunity to go beyond the initial term of the contract.

Our client is a well-established manufacturing business with an annual turnover of approximately $250 million. Operating across multiple entities, the organisation has a strong market presence and offers a complex, fast-paced environment with sophisticated financial operations.

Job Description

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare and review financial statements in line with relevant accounting standards.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements.
  • Oversee general ledger reconciliations and month-end processes.
  • Provide analysis and support for budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Assist in managing audits and liaising with external auditors.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial operations.
  • Support the Accounting & Finance team with ad hoc financial tasks as required.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Financial Accountant should have:

  • A degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in managing audits and liaising with external auditors.
  • CA/CPA Qualification
  • Audit background ideal but not mandatory
