Job Description

  • Lead group month-end processes, ensuring accurate, timely reporting and strong general ledger integrity, including reconciliations and balance sheet control.
  • Oversee tax, payroll, and statutory obligations across global entities, ensuring full compliance, audit readiness, and effective governance frameworks.
  • Manage year-end audit processes, coordinate with external auditors and advisors, and ensure high-quality statutory and management reporting.
  • Support acquisition accounting with seamless integration of new entities into financial systems, processes, and reporting structures.
  • Own group consolidation, intercompany eliminations, and standardisation of accounting policies while driving continuous improvement and scalable finance processes.
  • Identify risks and control gaps, implement improvements, and support system enhancements and automation initiatives.
  • Deliver technical accounting guidance, support finance team capability, and partner with stakeholders to improve financial discipline and decision-making.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Financial Accountant should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CA/CPA qualification.
  • Big 4/Mid tier audit background (desirable).
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including Australian Accounting Standards.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
