Job Description

  • Prepare and review accurate financial statements in compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely reporting.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support business decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Responsible for cash flow forecasting, FX risk management, and implementing hedging strategies to optimise liquidity and minimise currency exposure.
  • Manage the general ledger and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing detailed financial insights.
  • Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members within the Accounting & Finance department.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Financial Accountant should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional accreditation such as CPA or CA.
  • Proven experience in financial reporting and analysis within the retail industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
