Job Description

  • Prepare and deliver accurate and timely financial reports to support decision-making processes.
  • Analyse financial performance and provide actionable insights to management.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis activities to ensure alignment with organisational goals.
  • Collaborate with department heads to monitor and manage financial performance.
  • Maintain and improve financial models to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial strategies and policies.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior members of the accounting team.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Management Accountant should have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CA or CPA qualification (or equivalent).
  • Proven expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across different departments.
  • Knowledge of the retail industry is highly regarded.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
